About the Association

Thanjavur District Muslim Educational Association was established in the year 1968 to cater to the educational needs of the society. The Association started a school in the name of Anglo Indian Arabic Presentation Convent in the year 1969, in a rented building in Srinagar Colony, with 36 Students.

In the Year 1971, Association constructed a school building in their own land to run the Al' Ameen Matriculation School. In the year 1988, the school was upgraded as Al'Ameen Matriculation Hr. Sec. School. We have completed 54 years of educational service and many thousands of students, who had completed their education through our institution are now distinguished Doctors, Engineers, Professors, Teachers, Administrators and Entrepreneurs.

With God's help the Association has proposed to offer Collegiate education, particularly to the female students, in the name of AL'AMEEN ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN. With vast experience in the field of education, our management can excel in this endeavour also.

College is located near the Bus Stand and Railway Station, spread over a spacious area, with highly ventilated classrooms along with all instructional facilities. To fulfill the educational needs of the 21st Century, we have established modernized laboratories for the subjects Physics and Computer Application.
